Mike started his career as an apprentice in farming, working up to managing a pig enterprise in Suffolk, before retraining in Human Resources and working in the retail industry. Following a stint in the voluntary sector working abroad on youth development projects, Mike retrained and worked with offenders both in and out of prisons before joining The Princes Trust. He joined local Government in 2008 and now oversees all aspects of Housing, Regulatory Services and Community development at West Suffolk Council. Mike has seen first hand the importance of providing good quality housing to enable people to thrive and to live independently, and believes the best results come from Government and business working together.
